A flight attendant has shared some of her biggest pet peeves – from passengers clipping their toenails on board, to people hogging the bathrooms with lengthy makeup routines.
Natalie Magee has been working in the industry for the past few years, sharing her experience on TikTok, where her videos often go viral (@yogimagee).
Most recently, the 42-year-old discusses some of the common pet peeves that annoy flight attendants.
“There are so many [pet peeves],” Natalie, from Colorado, US, told What’sTheJam.com.

“I’d say one of my biggest ones revolves around the lack of situational awareness when people come on a plane.
“They tend to act as if it’s their own private jet and they are the only one of importance on there.
“From hogging overhead bin space to standing in the aisle taking all the time [and] holding up the boarding line, to ignoring us when we say their bag won’t fit.
“It’s maddening.

“I’ve had people break overhead bins and cause huge delays trying to shove their luggage in a bin even after I’ve told them that I know their luggage won’t fit.”
She has even struggled when it comes to passenger’s personal hygiene.
Natalie said: “Clipping toenails or attending to personal hygiene is another big pet peeve.

“People will go in the bathroom and take forever, forgetting we only have one.
“A flight isn’t the time to paint your nails, take up the bathroom with your makeup routine or change outfits.
“All that should be done prior to flying.
“Also, people shouldn’t drink too much alcohol – the effects are amplified in the air and we can’t babysit you.
“If you do get cut off because we deem you’ve had too much to drink, be polite and accept you aren’t drinking anymore.
“Arguing with the flight crew only ensures you’ll get to talk to police on the ground.”
The attendant also shares other irritations, such as people going to the toilets barefoot, parents putting their children on the floor and people that put their food directly onto the tray table without a napkin.
