A new fear was unlocked for holidaymakers when a packed banana boat was flipped 180 degrees by a freak wave.
Footage filmed from the beach shows the inflatable being towed out to sea with eight thrill-seekers on board.
Just seconds into the ride, the person filming could be heard repeating “No way” as a huge wave suddenly rose and headed straight for the inflatable.

The wave broke at exactly the wrong moment, sending the inflatable flipping through the air and throwing the riders off like rag dolls.
They disappeared under the water before quickly resurfacing one by one, while the person recording laughed at the chaos.
As the group attempted to make their way back to shore, they were hit by a second wave and then a third.
Fortunately, everyone emerged unharmed thanks to the life jackets they were wearing, as reported by Whats The Jam.
The clip was recorded at El Palmar beach in Ixtapa, on Mexico’s Pacific coast, and shared online on Saturday (30 May).

And a fifth person added: “That’s why I don’t go on those things.”
