A lucky fella has won the lottery on his birthday.
Jon Valois matched five numbers in the ‘Lucky for Life’ draw on 29 May.
He eventually got around to checking the numbers on his birthday on 3 June.
Jon scooped £19,659 ($25,000) every year for the rest of his life.

However, the lucky winner chose to receive the prize in the form of a one-time payment.
In total, he bagged £306,587 ($390,000) before taxes.
Jon – who comes from Lowell in Massachusetts, US – said he plans to use the cash to help out his friends and family.
He bought the winning ticket at the Northside Convenience on North Road in Bedford, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Last week, a lucky couple picked up a cheque for 785,425 ($1 million) after winning the lottery three weeks before the birth of their first child.
John and Victoria Stanhill, who come from Jacksonville in Florida, won the prize on a 500X The Cash scratchcard.
After scooping the jackpot, Victoria said: “We won the lottery, and then we won the lottery again with our beautiful, healthy baby boy.”

The couple chose the one-time payment option and received a total of £502,842 ($640,000).
