Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason CBE is selling an ultra-rare special edition motor that was made especially for the legendary rock band.
The 1995 Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet Mk III Pink Floyd Edition – complete with Mason’s signature – is set to go under the hammer next month.
The unique motor offers rock-loving petrolheads a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own a genuine piece of motoring and music history.

Back in the 1990s, Volkswagen teamed up with Pink Floyd to create the limited-edition ride, based on the Mk3 Golf Cabriolet.
Each model came with custom badges, colour-keyed bumpers and mirrors, and a tour-inspired interior with seat upholstery echoing the design of The Division Bell’s 1994 European tour.
Inside, there’s a top-notch sound system emblazoned with Pink Floyd logos – perfect for blasting Comfortably Numb on the open road.
The cars were typically fitted with a 1.8-litre engine, capable of hitting 118mph.
And the lucky new owner won’t just get the car.

They will also drive away with a pair of signed drumsticks, a signed copy of Mason’s book Into the Red, four signed vinyl albums, a VW and Pink Floyd T-shirt, and several signed DVDs, including The Story of Wish You Were Here – marking the album’s 50th anniversary this year.
Ionic Auctioneers, who is hosting the sale, has confirmed that all proceeds will go to the Harefield Healing Garden Charity.
Bidding opens on 8 November at the NEC Birmingham, as reported by Whats The Jam.

Mason, 81, said: “The Garden is particularly important to our family, as both a family member, as well as two close friends, have been patients at Harefield.
“Supporting the garden represents a small gesture of thanks that can be of benefit to patients, visitors and staff.”
The iconic drummer – worth millions thanks to his decades with Pink Floyd – proves that when it comes to good causes, he’s still got plenty of drive.
