Nine goats found wandering around a tiny hamlet have left cops baffled.
The farm animal owners have been taken in by police until their owners can be found.
They are surprised they have not noticed the goats missing.
They were found in Thorpe Underwood, between York and Boroughbridge, North Yorks.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Have you lost nine goats?
”But you heard correctly and we kid you not.
”This certainly isn’t a sentence you say every day.
“But if you’re missing nine goats or know anyone who is, we’d love to hear from you.
Local Paulie Stephenson said: “Love the pun, but hope they find their way home.”

Charlie Stapylton said: “Can I have one.”
Ian McCulloch said: “I hope you’re feeding them goat meal for breakfast?
