In the living room, retro furnishings adorn the space, with an electric fireplace, burgundy sofa, leather chairs and a knitted blanket.
Stepping into the kitchen, there’s a popcorn station, complete with kernels and seasonings, to tuck into while delving into a series of scary movies.
With only one bedroom, it’s great for couples who are looking at snuggling up together – or clinging on for safety.
On the walls, Friday the 13th and Halloween posters decorate the space, along with quotes from classic films and the all important question; “What’s your favourite scary movie?”
A Frankenstein mask, a Chucky cereal box and collectable action figures are also positioned on mounted shelves.

But the pièce de résistance is The Shining themed bathroom, with a hole in the doors as a tribute to the iconic scene from the film, as well as “Redrum” written across the wall in red lettering.
With a green sink and bath, and arched yellow walls, the trapped Wendy experience comes to life.
Outside, there’s beautiful gardens and woodland, with an old sign posting directing to The Bates Motel, Camp Crystal Lake and The Overlook Hotel.

And if you hear or see some strange things – it’s because the place is haunted by ghosts.
Fear not, as elaborate special effects have been installed that flicker lights, turn static on the vintage television and play ghostly sound effects.
These activate randomly during the stay to add to the suspense and surprise – but can be turned off if things get a bit too scary.
Along with a supply of horror themed games and a Ouija board if you dare, this stay is perfect for horror movie fanatics.
Located in Big Bear, California, US, there’s hiking trails, a lake and the vibrant local scene nearby.
