An eagle-eyed resident spotted the clutch of eggs and alerted the authorities on 23 June.

The dino eggs were found in Haizhu District in Guangzhou City, China.
Guangzhou and the Pearl River Delta used to have humid river-lake sedimentary environments during the Late Cretaceous period, around 70 to 66 million years ago.
These conditions made the area suitable for dinosaur survival and fossil formation.
