A TV star has revealed how eating only meat, dairy and eggs for 100 days has been “life-changing” for her body.
Alex Murphy Klein, who is known for her stint on Dancing on Ice with Joe Swash, often shares lifestyle hacks with her 275,000 followers online.
The 36-year-old is no stranger to trying out bizarre food trends, such as sugar on bread and blitzed eggs.

Now, though, she’s hopped on the carnivore diet – eating only animal-based products for 100 days straight.
And she says the results have been “life-changing” for her skin, sleep quality and overall fitness.
“My skin is so much better, I’m sleeping so much better and [I] have lost weight,” Alex, from London, told What’s The Jam.

“My husband has cleared his IBS and he’s even stopped snoring.
“Before, I didn’t realise it, but I definitely ate a lot of processed foods.

“We started it because my husband saw a podcast that talked about brain fog.
“He was feeling slumped, so we decided why not?
“The first week was difficult, because your body is getting rid of all the sugar and [there’s] definitely cravings.

“I had headaches and couldn’t sleep.
“After a week, though, I felt so much better.

“I can’t begin to [think of all] the benefits that I’ve seen over the last hundred days.
“I wanted to document it all to see if it was actually working and I’ve just had drastic improvements.”
Alex and her husband Paul Klein, 32, chowed down high-protein sources such as chicken, steak, bacon, eggs, butter and heavy cream.
In a clip, which has racked up 92,000 views and over 2,000 likes, she reveals their final day of the carnivore diet.
Her husband hands her a steak with 100 candles on top and they cook it up for breakfast.
Alex then makes a “carnivore cake” consisting of eggs, vanilla, salt and mascarpone cheese.

She also whips up some double cream to top the cake with.
They both have steak and eggs for lunch with a side of brie, before speaking about the health benefits they’ve noticed.
As a final carnivorous treat, they tuck into the homemade cake.
She says the results “go against” what some health experts warn about the diet.
Alex added “Lots of people online say it’s wrong and bad for you.
“But there is so much evidence to the contrary.
“I’ve followed a lot of carnivore accounts and I keep improving day after day.
“My energy levels are the best they have been.
“I don’t know how I can stop because I feel the best I’ve felt in years.
“The diet is anti-inflammatory.
“So the swelling and inflammation in my face and body has really gone down.
“And my body is just working better than it ever has.
“I also have no food cravings.”
Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions, with many people praising the couple for their efforts.
Donna said: “Well done both of you. I’m on day 101 and watching your videos has spurred me on. I feel great and lost weight too.”

Serena added: “This video is the best one yet!”
Laura said: “Congrats guys! Have been following your journey and I’m on day 26 and feel great – thank you for documenting!”

FACT BOX: WHAT THE DOCTOR SAYS
Dr Ravina Bhanot, a GP specialising in women’s health, who is based in London, commented on the diet.
She said: “The carnivore diet eliminates all plant- based foods, focusing on meat, fish and animal products.
“It’s basically an extreme version of a low-carb diet or keto diet.

“The benefits are it keeps you full for longer – high-protein-high-fat diets tend tor educe hunger and promote weight loss.
“Anti-inflammatory effects – some studies have shown that patients with autoimmune or inflammatory issues may have some symptom relief.
“This may possibly be due to removal of ultra-processed food.
“But the risks are nutrient gaps: Fruit, vegetables and whole grain contain key micronutrients like Vitamin C, Magnesium, omega 3 and other anti-oxidants that help your body fight disease.
“And your gut health: Fibre found in fruit and vegetables is so important for healthy gut microbiome and can help to reduce bowel cancer.
“The carnivore diet doesn’t contain much fibre at all.
“High intakes of red meat and processed meat have also been linked to increased risks of heart disease, kidney disease and colon cancer.
“The carnivore diet is still under-researched compared to other diets and not many long term clinical trials examining all meat diets.
“Most information is anecdotal or extrapolated from Keto or paleo diets.”
