A river has mysteriously turned an electric blue colour leaving locals baffled.
Residents have been left scratching their heads at what could have caused it.
Kyle James spotted the new hue while volunteering at a local charity.

“It’s exceptional,” the 63-year-old said.
“I was very artificial looking and an intense blue.
“I went to have a look and found the source, but couldn’t work out what was causing it.
“I hope it’s not dangerous for the environment.”
Kiomi Walker said: “Just awaiting the munchkins to pop out the trees.”

Stacie Armstrong added: “Man City fans have been washing their shirts.”
The River Dean in Bollington, near Macclesfield, Cheshire, changed colour last Thursday (1 May), as reported by What’s the Jam.

Michael Webb joked: “It’s to celebrate Macclesfield FC becoming champions.”

Yet one claimed: “Absolutely disgusting that some human has actually done that.
“And believe me, it is humans.”
Another said: “So sad to the wildlife, all the baby chicks.
Daley Gane claimed: “Dye to stop weed.”

An Environment Agency spokesperson said: “Officers attended a site in Bollington following reports of pollution in the River Dean.
“The pollution has now cleared. We have identified the source and taken steps to limit any environmental harm.”
The EA did not reveal what it was.
