A 16-year-old has revealed how he arrived at prom in a helicopter like a teenage James Bond.

Ahmet Karakaya stunned his high school classmates when he descended from the skies for the big night.

He made a jaw-dropping entrance by landing a helicopter near the prom venue, leaving fellow students speechless.

And the copter cost him a whopping £5,200.

“Everyone was super shocked and super excited to see me and my date,” Ahmet, from Hastings, told What’s The Jam.

“Every single person waited for us to arrive, even though we were late.

“All the teachers had nothing to say; they were mesmerised.

“There were also some jealous people who wanted all the attention for themselves.

“But it was an experience that made me feel like James Bond!

“Seeing my school from above made me realise how far I’ve come.

“It was truly an aura-full experience.”

Ahmet said he was able to afford the helicopter on Friday (27 June) thanks to his business of re-selling on Vinted and proudly calls himself a young entrepreneur.

He said: “I began by selling my old clothes and items just to make a bit of extra cash.

“I was hoping to make £100, but I ended up making £5,000 at the age of 13.

“That moment changed everything for me.

“I also sell digital guides and supplier access to help others start their own reselling journey.”

Ahmet makes sure to maintain a strong work-life balance.

He said: “I go to school every day, I’m well enough to attend.

“Even though I don’t want to go into anything academic long-term, I respect the fact that I have access to free education, and I don’t take that for granted.

“Balancing school with business is tiring, especially doing work after a full day of lessons, but I’ve stayed disciplined.

“I enjoy the pressure.

“My weekends are a good balance – I work in the mornings and spend time with friends or my girlfriend in the evenings.

“Being an entrepreneur has actually improved my social life.

“It’s opened up opportunities to travel – I’ll be visiting four countries this summer, and I see that as enjoying the fruits of my labour.”

Ahmet says he has made around £500,000 so far.

He said: “I’m on track to becoming one of the youngest self-made millionaires.

“I definitely feel pressure – the pressure to wake up and work every day, no matter how I feel.

“But that pressure also pushes me forward.

“It’s helped build my discipline, increase my stress tolerance, and shape my mindset.

“It’s what’s made me stronger, and I see it as part of becoming a man.

“My main plan after school is to move abroad to a country I love and continue my entrepreneurial journey.

“One of my biggest personal goals is to buy my mum a villa in Turkey with a big farm – that’s been a dream of hers for years, and I want to make it happen.”

His family have also been hugely supportive.

He said: “My dad has always respected what I do, he’s an entrepreneur himself and he’s pushed me to work harder.

“My mum had more traditional ideas at first, like going to university and getting a stable job.

“But after seeing what I’ve achieved, she now fully supports me.

“When I started, I really needed that outside motivation to not care what others think.

“I know that if I’d started earlier and with more confidence, I could’ve achieved even more by now.

“I also know there are other young people out there who want to start something but are held back by fear or doubt.

“I come from a working-class background and didn’t have any of the opportunities people assume I had.

“I failed over 40 business attempts before I found success.

“Everything I’ve achieved is self-made.

“I’m proud to say I’m on track to becoming one of the youngest self-made millionaires – and I built that from scratch.”
