Bargain house hits the market at £175,000 – but you’ll need more than a skip to clear its contents

A three-bedroom house has hit the market for a steal at £175,000 – but you’ll have to find the floor first.

The property, which is brimming with bin bags and boxes of the previous owner’s possessions, is set to be sold at auction.

And the buyer will certainly have their hands full, reports What’s The Jam.

Located in Isleworth, London, every room is stuffed, ceiling to floor, with items including books, blankets, duvets and chairs.

Despite looking like a decent fixer-upper, the property has attracted a flurry of interest online for the wrong reasons.

“So very sad,” one person wrote on Reddit.

“Very nice house though once it’s renovated, and lovely long garden. I bet though it’ll fetch more than £175,000.”

Another said: “Sad thing is, 5% of that cr** will be really good and interesting but it’ll all be chucked.”

“The issue with this kind of hoarding is it can actually damage the building due to the extreme weight,” one person added.

One room looks like a deserted library, with books covering every surface.

In the bathroom, the sink and tub are littered with old papers and magazines.

The listing on Rightmove, which states it will be sold by Allsop at auction, says the three-bedroom property has one bathroom and also comes with a rear garden.

It has great transport links, with two train stations and a tube station within 0.7 miles.

If a family with children decides to pick up the project, there are four schools nearby.

The agent has listed that the property will be open for viewing on Wednesday 1 May, Friday 3 May and Tuesday 7 May from 1-1:30pm.

One optimistic person wrote under the listing: “Assuming it is structurally sound, it has the potential to be a nice house.

“I like the bay windows. It’s at the end of a cul-de-sac, so there’s no through traffic.

“Get in a professional house-clearer, and redecorate the place, and it could be good to go.

“It is very near Heathrow, which has cons (noise, pollution), but also pros (if you are letting it, you’d get a steady stream of tenants wanting to live near Heathrow for work).

“Massive long garden. And it’s not very far from Richmond Park. It will go for a lot more than the guide price.”
