A British explorer has made his “most unique” discovery to date.
Ben Stevens from Cambridgeshire was on a trip to Beijing and Japan when he heard about a motel located two hours outside of Tokyo.
The 30-year-old, who is used to visiting areas such as asylums and funeral homes, couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see the space.

He discovered that the property was a “love motel” for tourists, designed for couples to have some alone time.
One of the most interesting parts of Ben’s discovery was the themed rooms.
“One room was set out like a boxing ring, one was like a fairground ride, and another was like a forbidden forest,” Ben told What’s The Jam.
“My favourite part was the rooms.
“The place overall was very different, very quirky and cool.

“I’m used to seeing asylums and funeral homes.
“It was quite unexpected how well-preserved the rooms were, although I wouldn’t want to run a UV light over anything in there.”
Ben spent almost three hours at the site and found the motel out in the open. just off of a main road.

It has reportedly been abandoned for around seven years, most likely due to a fire.
Upon entering, Ben noticed that the whole of the ground floor had been completely burnt out.
But the rest of the motel appeared untouched.
Ben said: “It was very cool to see because the entire ground floor of the hotel had been completely burned from a fire and yet the rooms upstairs were completely intact.
“It’s just not something that not many people would get to see in person – let alone it being abandoned.”
Ben later shared images from the motel on his social media platforms.
One person said: “How can this place be abandoned?! HOW?!”
Another viewer added: “That is definitely one of the most uniquely themed motels I’ve ever seen.”
“If those rooms could talk,” said Taino.
Another explorer said: “Ok this entire post is phenomenal.”
“I feel like somebody should buy this and Airbnb it,” another person added.
