A rollercoaster, thought to be the oldest in the world, stopped halfway through a ride during the power outage.
The famous attraction – called the Montaña Suiza, Swiss Mountain in English – was opened in 1928.

Swiss Mountain is located in the Monte Igueldo Amusement Park in San Sebastian, one of the longest-running operating parks on the planet.
The famous ride stopped working during Spain’s blackout on Monday (28 Apr), as reported by What’s The Jam.
Unaware of the power interruption affecting the entire country, thrillseekers were initially scared by the unexpected breakdown.
One family was shocked at being left stranded on the track about 328ft (100m) in the air.
They were seen enjoying the ride along the coast just as their car started to climb a slope.

One family member pointed to the crystal-blue sea, saying: “Wow, guys.
“Look to the left.”
But the ride suddenly stopped and their car started to roll backwards until coming to a rest at the bottom.

The baffled thrillseekers said: “No, it can’t be.
“We aren’t stuck, are we?”
“What happened?”
Little did they know the whole peninsula had suddenly been left without power.
According to reports, the ride was evacuated minutes later.
No one was reported as injured in the breakdown.
The clip went viral on TikTok with 3.1 million views and thousands of comments.
One local said, “At least you had a sea view.”
Another added: “What was the probability of that happening?”
Alex remarked: “My wife said to me that afternoon, ‘Can you imagine if the blackout caught you on a rollercoaster!’”
