A large tree exploded into thousands of pieces after being zapped by a bolt of lightning.
An onlooker filmed the majestic tree dominating the landscape on a grey rainy day.
A lightning flash fills the sky and it suddenly breaks up with a thunderous bang.

Most of the tree completely disintegrates around a nearby white building.
The lightning strike happened in the town of Augé, south east of Nantes, France on Saturday (29 Jun).
One local said: “Tree got deleted.”
Rose wrote: “The air in a lightning bolt can be 10 times hotter than the sun.”
Chris commented: “If you’re wondering what’s happening here, the lightning flash-heats the tree’s sap into steam, which blows it apart from the inside out.”

On the same day, three people were killed by a storm near the French town of Brienne le Chateau.
A tree fell on a passing car, killing three occupants in their 70s and 80s and critically injuring another.
The storm also caused severe damage in the nearby city of Troyes.
