Michelin has released a brand new 60-foot-long eco-friendly yacht equipped with a bizarre inflatable sail.
Known for giving out their sought-after stars at high-class restaurants and producing top-of-the-range tyres, the French company is now shaking up the sea.
The AQUA is their first venture into the nautical world, as they set their sights on changing the game forever.

The yacht is kitted out with Michelin’s innovative sail propulsion solution – WISAMO.
This can be seen in the form of an inflatable wingsail, which is retractable, that gives the boat a hybrid function.
The sail can maximise wind propulsion whilst saving on fuel consumption.

When not required, the sail can be deflated and perfectly stored away, adding to its slick design as reported by Whats The Jam.
WISAMO was created with the vision of paving the way for more sustainable yachting.

The luxurious daysailer can host up to six guests with space in the gallery for a party of eight.
The yacht is the lovechild of a purely French collaboration, which is made up of NOVEM Nautical Design, WISAMO, Michelin’s sail propulsion solution, and JFA YACHTS.
AQUA made its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 last week.

The yacht will also be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025 next week.

Michel Desjoyeaux, French yachtsman, two-time winner of the Vendée Globe and technical consultant for WISAMO, said: “The WISAMO wingsail adapts to all types of boats and uses wind energy to propel them.
“It is very simple to use: you have nothing to do apart from starting the system and keeping course.”
