Brides and grooms can now say “I do” in front of a giant demon in one of the world’s most haunted cities.

The Satanic Temple in Salem, Massachusetts – famous for its witchy past – is offering wedding packages for couples who want to make their big day truly hellish.

Lovebirds can tie the knot in front of Baphomet, a towering horned idol, and swear their undying love in a temple “dedicated to the dark lord”, as reported by What’s The Jam.

The eerie ceremony costs £1,314.93 ($1,750) and gives couples an hour to celebrate between the Baphomet room and the Salem Art Gallery.

The service is presided over by a “minister of Satan”, who officially leads the proceedings.

The wedding altar is decked out with faux florals in black and burgundy, setting the mood for the spooky setting.

The Satanic Temple describes the ceremony as “a setting steeped in history, philosophy, and the beauty of individuality”.

Salem, the backdrop for the temple, is steeped in dark history – the site of the 17th-century Salem Witch Trials, where more than 200 people were accused of witchcraft and 30 executed for their “crimes”.

The grisly events made it the most haunted town in America, inspiring classics like Salem’s Lot, The Crucible, and even family favourite Hocus Pocus.

And if a regular Satanic wedding isn’t spooky enough, the temple has something even darker planned for 2026.

It’s offering couples the chance to wed in “unholy matrimony” throughout June 2026, letting their big day fall on the devil’s digits – 6/6/6.

The exclusive dates are 6/6/26, 16/6/26 and 26/6/26, with the special package priced at £1,502.38 ($1,999) – and places are limited.
