A couple have proudly shown off their massive moggy which is 1.3m long and weighs 10.3kg.
Márcia Oliveira and Jean Martins’ huge cat Xartrux, six, is four times as long as the average puss.
The Maine Coon breed is also over two-and-a-half times heavier than most felines.
Domestic cats are usually only 33cm from head to tail and weigh about 4kg.

Márcia and Jean, of Jaú, northwest of Sao Paulo, Brazil, are now trying to get Xartrux into the Guinness World Records.

The current holder of the “longest domestic cat living” record belongs to another Maine Coon named Barivel.
But Barivel, from Vigevano, Italy, is shorter than Xartrux at 1.2m
Márcia and Jean have been breeding the type of cats since 2013.

They they sell fetch between 5,500 BRL (£870) and 12,000 BRL (£1,900), depending on the size.
She has been a cat lover since she was a little girl.
She and Jean have owned more than 500 felines over the years, including strays they took in from the streets.

They’re expecting a response on if he’s a record breaker in late April or early May.
Márcia is a breast cancer survivor and credits Xartrux for giving her strength during the ordeal.
She said: “Facing breast cancer and fighting for my life with God in charge, with the support of my husband Jean Martins, and the love of my cats.”
The record for the world’s longest domestic cat was previously held by Maine Coon Stewie from Nevada, USA.
Stewie measured 1.23m when fully stretched out.
He died aged eight in February 2023.
Márcia told local media: “Since 2012, I’ve shifted from my former profession in the publishing industry, dealing with humans, to dedicating myself entirely to cats, with the support of my husband.
“We live in a fully adapted house with various furniture tailored to cats.
“And Xartrux is one of them, the largest.
“He has already won international awards, and now we’re eagerly awaiting positive feedback from Guinness.”
Maine coons are North America’s only native breed of longhaired domestic cat and may have been named for their raccoon-like tail.
They’ve been nicknamed “gentle giants” for their kind disposition.
