A gigantic 10-foot-long crocodile was spotted trying to cross a busy road during a period of heavy rain.
The monster reptile stepped onto the dual carriageway in front of a stopped motorist.
It then lay flat on its stomach in the middle of the road as other drivers were halted.

A line of frustrated motorists then drove around the large obstruction as the video came to an end.
The crocodile left the nearby Carpenter’s Lagoon in Tampico, Mexico, as Storm Alberto passed over the city.
The lagoon is home to around 100 crocodiles.
A local expert said they often leave the water when city areas are flooded and they get confused as to where they are.
The croc was rescued from the dual carriageway by firefighters who initially kept it at the fire station, as reported by What’s The Jam.

It was later handed over to experts at the Federal Attorney of Environmental Protection (Profepa).
The croc will be transported to its new home in a nature reserve near Altamira City.
The reptile, a Morelet’s crocodile, measured 10.2 feet (3.1 metres) in length.

Carpenter’s Lagoon is a picturesque lake spot in the city, boasting a hiking trail, boat rides, a zipline, and wildlife such as lizards and crocodiles.
Fences are erected at the park to prevent crocodiles from leaving the area.
There have been numerous reported attacks on visitors at the lagoon, usually after people enter the water to go swimming.
