Shoppers are not loving shops selling Valentine’s gifts SIX WEEKS before the most romantic day of the year.

Stunned customers spotted heart mugs, sweets and table decoration confetti.

The Valentine’s Day products were on display next to reduced Christmas decorations.

They were seen in Home Bargains store in Eccles, Greater Manchester yesterday (1 Jan).

It was six weeks and two days before Valentine’s Day which is on February 14.

One shopper said: “Can I not go shopping without being reminded of my loneliness?”

Belle said: “Girl you don’t know the difficulty of the retail calendar.

“A few days ago we put out Easter eggs with the Christmas stuff.”

One disgruntled shopper said: “Already?”

One shopper added: “Favourite holiday is the day after Valentine’s when everything is on sale.”

Love themed pyjamas have also been spotted in Sainsbury’s.

TK Maxx have also joined in, with home decor including candles all displaying hearts in support of the upcoming holiday celebration, as reported by What’s The Jam.

John Lewis got their stock in early too, with the retailer displaying Valentine’s gifts before Halloween and Christmas last year.

Home Bargains has been approached for comment.
