A shopper watched in disbelief after a fearless pigeon wandered into a supermarket before sending staff on a failed mission to catch it.
Jacob West, 26, an insurance broker, was visiting the Sainsbury’s store on Bristol’s Harbourside when the unlikely customer made its entrance.
Instead of flying in, the bird casually strolled through the automatic front doors “like it owned the place”.

Jacob said the pigeon then began “wreaking havoc” around the shop before taking refuge near the meal deal section, as reported by Whats The Jam.
Staff attempted to corner the feathered intruder by trapping it under a cardboard box, but the crafty bird managed to evade capture.
Jacob joked: “The pigeon brazenly walked through the front door.

“I then saw it wreaking havoc and seek cover by the meal deal section.
“The managers’ valiant attempts to catch it under a box failed, so I fled the shop for fear of my safety.”
