A one-in-a-million bright blue lobster has been hauled up from the sea.
The colorful crustacean was part of a consignment bought by a fishmonger.
It was caught by boats fishing off the south west coast.

And the striking blue one stood out among other normal black coloured lobsters.
Andrew Lake spotted it at Premier Fish where he works in Wimborne, Dorset.
The wholesaler sells to pubs, hotels and restaurants in the area, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Andrew said: “I’m told they’re very rare – maybe one-in-a-million.
“I’ve only ever seen a few.

“Around four or five in over 30 years of working in the fish trade.
“I’m not sure how rare they are but they can’t be that common.”
It’s not the first time a lobster with the blue mutation was caught.

In June, Marc Newton caught one blue lobster three times in just three weeks.
He runs fishmongers Beer Fisheries Ltd with partner Leanne near Seaton, Devon.
The lobsters are electric blue due to a genetic abnormality that causes them to overproduce a certain protein.
