Lead guitarist and songwriter Noel, 58, and lead singer brother Liam have reformed.

Oasis – whose hits include Wonderwall – are going on stadium tour across the UK, with the gigs starting next month.

The brothers were heading for rehersals yesterday

The guitar was sold by Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles, California, US.

The listing reads: “A photo-matched Grand-Suzuki Hummingbird guitar, used and owned by Noel Gallagher during his time in iconic British band Oasis.

“This guitar was originally obtained from Gallagher’s personal collection and was used to warm up and jam backstage.

“Wear near the sound hole and patterns on the pickguard can be matched to a Mick Hutson photograph of Gallagher holding the guitar backstage at an Oasis concert in Amsterdam on 21 January 2009.
