A giant model cow which could be milked by children is being sold off after a tourist attraction closed down.
Farmyard favourite Clarabelle is one of about 500 lots up for sale.
The extensive collection of vintage farm machinery and tools are from the Dairyland Museum.

Clarabelle was the family attraction’s mascot before it closed for good in November due to significant losses.

Dairyland operated as an attraction for 49 years after being opened by farmer Rex Davey who thought people would be interested in viewing vintage machinery.

Ahead of the sale site manager Keith Thompson said: “We’re expecting up to 400 people on the day and then online bids as well so it’s going to be a bit manic.
“Over the years many many families have given items to the museum.

“It’s brought a lot of history together and sadly that’s going to be broken up.”

The farmhouse kitchen and admissions area is to become a farm shop and cafe.

It will be run by Jen Sanders, who has fond memories of Clarabelle the cow.
“She was the most popular part of Dairyland,” she told What’s The Jam.

“Everyone remembers her.
“You’ll find a lot of adults loved the museum as well.

“It was made by Rex Davey’s family and it’s been there for a long time.
“I’m hoping to bid on a few lots…farming implements, anything that keeps tradition alive that can hang on the wall and equally keep Dairyland alive at the same time.”

The auction is taking place all day today (29 Jan).
The museum was in Summercourt, near Newquay, Cornwall
