A tiny baby robot armed with bottles of milk has become an unlikely star after taking on a fitness challenge.
The minuscule humanoid attempted to do a long jump in what has been branded “the world’s saddest hop”.
Despite barely moving upwards at all, the pint-sized athlete appears extremely proud of its performance.

The Mini-Pi robot was seen competing at the 2026 World Humanoid Robot Games.
Wearing competition number 032, it was considerably smaller than many of the other robots taking part, as reported by What’s The Jam.
After Mini-Pi attempted its rather depressing jump, a human handler approached and lifted the robot by the “scruff” of its upper back.
The humanoid’s legs kicked and flailed in the air like a child being carried away from a playground.
In one final effort, it set off on a determined run along the long-jump track before stopping partway down the runway and launching itself into one last mini hop.

The force of the movement caused its 032 number bib to come loose and fall off.
Mini-Pi is a compact bipedal robot manufactured by Chinese company High Torque Robotics.
According to the manufacturer, the model stands just 52cm tall and weighs 7kg with its battery installed.

It is also rated to carry a load of up to 15kg.
The bot was dressed for the occasion with a pink bow tie around its neck and another pink bow attached to its antenna.
A milk bottle hung around the robot’s neck while another was held in its hand.
The video, shared by physical AI commentator Eren Chen, has amassed 513,100 views, 8,300 likes and 1,100 reposts.
Mini-Pi’s performance in in Beijing, China, has quickly won over viewers online.
One person said: “I LOVE HIM.”
Another viewer said: “The way it’s trying so hard. it’s actually adorable.”
A third person said: “Being grabbed by the scruff and dragged around, while kicking up a fuss, is also adorable”
A fourth viewer added: “Bro really said ‘watch this’ and gave us the world’s saddest hop.
“Robotics is evolving in real time and it’s beautiful.”
Meanwhile, a fifth person said: “That is soooo cute.”
Another person compared the robot to their own child: “My 1 yr old when she jumps and pretends she won the Olympic gold.”
Mini Pi’s small size means an adult can easily lift it using one hand – as demonstrated by the handler in the viral video.
The robot’s modest performance came during the second World Humanoid Robot Games.
The five-day competition was held at Beijing’s National Speed Skating Oval from 22 to 26 August.
The programme contained 51 categories and more than 1,300 individual contests.
At the opposite end of the field from Mini-Pi’s tiny hop, a robot representing Team Tianjiao reportedly won the event with a leap of 7.97 metres.
