A man has floored the internet after visiting the cheapest hotel in the UK and giving it a positive review.
George Redfern recently stayed at the White Moon Hotel in Blackpool for a grand total of just £9 a night for his own private room.
The 21-year-old from Wirral, Merseyside, documented the stay on TikTok, where it has almost half a million views and nine thousand likes.

Although he revealed some alleged issues including a leak in the ceiling, a cracked mirror, and broken light sockets and lightbulbs, George still gave the hotel a five-star review.
“My expectations were very low as I have stayed in many cheap or low-rated hotels before [so] I thought nothing different – basic essentials, probably a little dirty but bearable,” George, a production scheduler, who lives in the Wirral, Merseyside, told What’s The Jam.
“I think for the price of my room, it was actually a good stay.
“The room was big, I had a working TV, [the] bathroom was clean, [and] the heating was very good and kept me warm.
“I also thought the bed was really comfy.

“I didn’t complain about any of the issues – the cracked mirror didn’t really bother me and neither did the plug socket, even if it is a little dangerous how exposed that was!
“The two missing lightbulbs annoyed me as the room was already dark, but I couldn’t complain because it was so cheap.
“I have stayed in a hotel room before for £17 but that was for one person so this one I stayed in recently was for two guests at £18 – which brings the cost down by half.”

After sharing his stay on TikTok, social media users were quick to share their thoughts.
Andy wrote: “£9 that’s a bargain to be fair.”
George replied: “Unreal isn’t it.”
A second person added: “For £9 u can’t really complain.”
Craigey wrote: “I know where to stay [the] next time I go to Blackpool.”
Ellen wrote: “Can’t complain for £9, clean bed, toilet and sink and safe.”
Jordan added: “£9. I’d move into it and live there for months.”
One TikTok user even went as far as to say the so-called UK’s cheapest hotel was a better deal than their rental accommodation.
Danny wrote: “Less issues and cheaper than my rent.”
George added in the comments section that the White Moon Hotel is just five minutes away from Central Pier, where there are plenty of entertainment options like arcade games and rides.
The content creator also previously visited one of the UK’s lowest-rated hotels, The Assheton Arms Hotel in Manchester, which has just 1.7 stars on Google and 1.5 stars on TripAdvisor.
He booked a one-night stay at £30 and said he was ultimately surprised he lasted the night in the “terrible” hotel.
George said: “I wanted to see if the reviews on the hotel are justified and give the hotel a chance to redeem themselves from all the bad reviews they have been getting.
“I now understand why one commenter said it was the worst night of his life.”
Jam Press has contacted the White Moon for comment.
Jam Press previously contacted the Assheton Arms Hotel for comment, with a representative saying: “We watched the video and it has a positive vibe.
“This is new management who is trying to build the positive reviews of our hotel.
“We hope to build our reviews to nearly 10 stars.”
