‘I am a 4ft man with dwarfism – here is how I bagged my taller dream wife who overlooks my height’

A 4ft man with dwarfism has lifted the lid on the little things he did to bag his 5ft 4in sweetheart wife after their wedding went viral.

Timothy Muttoo and Anita Wing Lee’s marriage had the internet hooked, with the pair both prioritising heart over height.

Now the engineer is handing out dating advice to other men who may be struggling with confidence over their height.

The happy husband has claimed that the friendzone is the best place to start when courting a potential lover.

“I just wanted to build a friendship with Anita,” Timothy, from Toronto, Canada, told What’s The Jam.

“It wasn’t like oh I’m going to ask her out on a date and if she says yes I’m going to ask her on another date and then by the third date we’re going to be boyfriend and girlfriend.

“Those weren’t even crossing my mind.

“When I put it in that context it made me feel relaxed.”

After six months of being married the pair posted a clip online of the “adorable moments” they have day to day due to their height differences.

The clip showcasing them being able to go in the fridge at the same time, look out the window together and check the bottom and top cupboards went viral.

The video racked up a whopping 1.7m views and over 24,600 likes.

The added attention online encouraged the couple to speak out about their relationship in more detail with Timothy offering advice to other men who were previously in his position.

Timothy said: “Height was never something either of us intentionally prioritized in relationships.

“What feels different about this relationship is the connection and alignment in values.

“We share faith, purpose and long-term vision. That foundation matters far more than physical traits.”

The pair first met in 2021 and after a long friendship they became lovers before getting married in June 2025.

Anita posted their marriage online to her 47,700 followers – with the post blowing up and the viewers giving a mixed response.

Timothy said: “Our wedding post unexpectedly went viral and reached millions of people around the world.

“Most comments were about love, joy and hope.

“Of course, the internet can bring criticism, but we do not let that define our experience.

“We focus on the thousands of kind messages from people who say our relationship gives them courage to choose love beyond surface-level expectations.”
