An Inbetweeners heartthrob who disappeared off screens has shocked fans after popping up in a £19 play in Hull.
The iconic British TV comedy became an instant cult classic for its hilarious lines and painfully accurate depiction of teenage life.
One theme that ran through three seasons and the first film was Joe Thomas’ character Simon’s huge crush on Carli D’Amato.

The heartthrob character played by Emily Head was a fan favourite – who had post Inbetweeners success in Emmerdale.
However, after leaving the show in 2018 the actress has had limited appearances in other projects – until now.
The 37-year-old has nailed down an integral role in a play at the Middle Child Theatre, Hull, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Portraying the character Cate in the production Isabelle which hits the stage today (15 May).
But fans of the Inbetweeners have been left stumped by the star’s looks after not seeing her for years.
One other person said: “Wah, Simon you got lucky lucky my guy.”
One person said: “Simon dodged a bullet.”
Another person added: “She looks familiar.”
One person said: “Is that Carli?”
Another person said: “Bloody hell she’s gotten so old.”
The play will feature at the theatre until 31 May, with tickets costing up to £19.
Since leaving the Inbetweeners and Emmerdale, the actress has focussed on theatre work.
Emily wrote and performed The System and also appeared in Coram Boy at the Bristol Old Vic and the Royal National Tour of An Inspector Calls.
