Nigel Farage’s doppelgänger has revealed the whopping earnings he makes doing gigs as the politician’s double – but says he’s on constant “alert”.
Richard Comfort is frequently mistaken for the Reform UK leader in his day-to-day life.
After the famous milkshake incident, he even hired security guards to stay safe.

The 58-year-old, from Derby, hadn’t thought he looked anything like the politician until a friend pointed it out one night in the pub – and everyone agreed.

Now, he earns an impressive £2,500 from his side gig as Nigel’s double.
“It was a little scary at first,” the singer and actor told What’s The Jam.
“I was in denial, but after looking at photos of Nigel Farage, I did see the resemblance.

“I started to see I had the same smile and various other similarities.

“It did take some time to adjust to, but I think as I am a little younger than him, I do feel I am the slightly better-looking one.
“I haven’t had any scary moments, but I am on extra alert when approached by anyone holding a milkshake.”
Richard often appears as Nigel Farage’s twin doing gigs for campaigns and political broadcasts.

In 2015, he appeared for the first time with the Green Party, doing a satire pop boy band-style video along with all the other party leaders at the time.

He’s also done countless private party appearances, publicity stunts and TV show promos.
And that’s not all, he’s even left certain celebrities convinced he’s the real deal, including Jason Manford when he appeared on ITV’s Starstruck in 2022.
He said: “I became Rag n Bone man, but as they showed the introduction video of me as myself before the transformation, he [Jason Manford] said: ‘Is that Nigel Farage?’
“Someone once stopped me in ASDA to tell me they had their vote on Brexit.

“I took my daughter to a pop concert when she was too young to go alone and all the mums and dads were standing at the back.
“I was approached by one of the mothers who was convinced I was indeed Nigel Farage.
“It took a little while for her to accept that I wasn’t.
“On a trip to London, one man, absolutely convinced I was him, stopped me and said: ‘Farage! It’s you Nigel Farage?’

“‘I love what you are doing, and I will be voting for you. When I saw you, I was very excited.’
“‘I only ever see you on the TV and your comments are always full of facts.
“‘You are a man of the people, and you speak the truth’.
“Many of my friends even greet me with: ‘Hey up Nigel.’“
Richard, who does like Nigel Farage, now has to tailor his own style daily to prevent being mobbed by fans – or haters – in the street.
He added: “I feel he does say it as he finds it.
“Unlike a lot of politicians who will only decide on an issue or policy if they think it will win them votes, rather than what they truly believe in.
“I try not to stand out as much.
“But I’m a fairly easygoing person, can take a joke and so it really doesn’t bother me.
“It’s all in good fun.”
