A pastry café in the UK is knocking off the price of its infamous XXXL dessert – a “giant” croissant – but there’s a catch.
Phillippe Conticini shocked and delighted fans after announcing his XXXL croissant, which has since gone viral online – with people travelling to London to try the dish.
He then launched the XXXL pain au chocolat, which has been an equally big hit.

But eating humongous pastries comes with a price… and it’s a steep one.
The giant croissant costs £25, while the pain au chocolat will set you back £28, as reported by What’s The Jam.
On the upside, they are definitely big enough to share.
If you’re pinching the pennies, there’s good news.
The “bad boy” croissant has just dropped in price by 20% – meaning you’ll pay just £20 to stuff your face with French pastry.

But there is, of course, a catch.
The discount can only be redeemed at the Conticini’s new Islington boutique.
Customers can pre-order the treat for pick-up.

Unfortunately, the pain au chocolat – which contains 66% pure criollo chocolate – has not been discounted so chocolate pastry lovers will have to flog out the usual £28 for that dish.
“Just like the regular croissant ; airy and buttery…,” said Philippe.
“Perfect to share with friends and family!”
The hype for the treat doesn’t seem to be fading, either.
“Need to give this bad boy a try,” said one fan.
“Wow! The size of that!,” added someone else.
“A little bit more croissant please,” joked another person.
“Actually can I get some croissants on top please,” added someone else.
Teresa added: “That looks amazing!!!!”
