Chelsea are looking to hire a decorator to add a bit of gloss to their stop-start season.

The Premier League club needs someone to give their Stamford Bridge home a lick of paint.

The successful applicant to redecorate ceilings, walls, floors and doors at the 40,000-capacity stadium.

They will get paid up to £38,000-a-year to maintain the upkeep on the ground.

But that is less than what top earner Raheem Sterling earns in one day.

The ex-Man City forward is on a reported £350,000 – meaning in rakes in £50,000 a day.

Job hopefuls will also be expected to paint the Blues’ Cobham Training Ground and Kingsmeadow site where the women’s team play.

Applicants will need some previous experience, be able to work unsupervised and be reliable.

Perks include 25 days holiday increasing to 28 after three years.

The pension plan includes a 5% contribution by Chelsea, plus there is private health insurance.

They also get 25% Nike clothing and priority bookings for Chelsea games.

Stamford Bridge is one of the oldest grounds in the top flight and was built in 1877.

Gaffer Mauricio Pochettino’s side are currently only 10th in the Premier League after eight wins, eight losses and four draws.

They have lost games to struggling Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Everton.

This is despite them spending over £1bn since owner Todd Boehly took over at the club.

The job advert reads: “Chelsea FC are looking for a painter and decorator to upkeep our three locations – Stamford Bridge, Cobham Training Ground and Kingsmeadow.”

Applicants need: “To be able to apply paint to ceilings, walls, floors and doors.

“To be able to scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting and wallpapering.

“To be able to fill and prepare surfaces prior to painting and hang wallpaper/wide vinyl.

“To be able to varnish woodwork, able to work in a team or alone.

“To be able to travel to all CFC sites, a driving license is preferred but not essential.”

“Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

“Must generate trust and confidence in staff at all levels.”
