A cat food burger made by a Michelin star chef has gone on sale and people think it’s delicious.
Chef and animal lover Alice Ostan developed the dish to prove that cats deserve to enjoy award winning meals too.
Alice worked with cat food brand KatKin, based in London, to transform their cat food mix into burgers fit for humans.

She coated the burger, made from meats usually served to cats, in golden panko breadcrumbs and a cat food topper.
Alice smothered it in a creamy ricotta, parmesan and lemon spread and topped it with KatKin’s smoky bacon jam, as reported by What’s the Jam.

It’s served in a ciabatta bun with fresh lettuce, sun dried tomatoes, cucumber and a drizzle of hot honey.
KatKin founders Brett and Nikki O’Farrell are hoping to raise awareness of how low quality, processed food can affect cats.
They said: “We created the KatKin Cluck Burger to make a statement that cats shouldn’t be fed anything we wouldn’t eat ourselves.

“Cats deserve better than ultra-processed food with low meat content and mystery ingredients.
“That’ s why we started KatKin, to give cats the 100 percent fresh, gently cooked, real meat they were born to eat.

“Time and time again, we see how switching to fresh food from the fridge provides meaningful and lasting change to cat health and happiness.”

Customers said they’d never be able to tell the difference between the cat food burger and a beef burger.
One person said: “You’d never guess this burger was made from cat food.
“It tastes just like the meat I buy for myself.
“Absolutely delicious.”
Another person said: “I enjoyed it.
“I’ll be feeding my cats KatKin from now on.”
