A gardening influencer has been left shocked after her tree produced an “alien” lemon the size of her face.
Taking to Instagram to share the bizarre citrus fruit, social media followers were equally puzzled.
Maxine Sharf is a chef and content creator from Los Angeles, California, and often shares recipes, food, and reviews online with her 1.9 million fans (@maxiskitchen ).
She recently shared a clip of an impressive home-grown lemon, which has so far gained over 1.1m views.

In the video, she can be seen holding it on its side, on the kitchen counter, as she slices it from top to bottom.

“Okay moment of truth, let’s see what is in this guy,” she says to the camera.
“I’m on the edge of my seat.”
She holds the lemon together, before opening it up and revealing the insane inside.

She added: “Woah.
“Wow thats cooler than I expected.”
She captioned the post: “The inside omg!!” and it has so far gathered 45,300 likes, as well as 1,400 comments from stunned fans.

Some followers were creeped out by the alien-like fruit.

Others said the fruit looked like a Buddha’s hand lemon, which is a citrus fruit shaped in a way that makes it appear as if it has fingers.
