A grandad dubbed the ‘UK’s worst karaoke singer’ has shamed himself on the mic yet again
Chris Hamilton has such a reputation for his tone-deaf efforts that he once won a trophy for being so bad.
The 61-year-old still proudly keeps his gong on display.

He was handed the ‘Worst Singer’ silver jug at Butlin’s in 1985 on his 21st birthday.
But to add insult to injury, organisers even engraved his name wrong – mistaking Hamilton for Appleton.
Despite the mix-up, the trophy still sits proudly at his home, nearly 40 years later, as reported on What’s The Jam.
But his wife Claire has “banned him from singing in public” after one performance was so bad they were thrown out of a venue.
Chris, originally of Woking, Surrey, was caught on camera butchering Motörhead’s Ace of Spades and AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night Long during a friend’s house party.

Even his 10-year-old granddaughter Ashley rolled her eyes at his deafening delivery.
While friend Emma, 40, turned her back on the camera and barely joined in during their supposed duet.
Claire, 51, said: “This happened at my friend Emma’s house during an unplanned karaoke night, which are always the best nights.

“Naturally, Chris couldn’t help himself and got up to deliver some of the worst notes.
“He showed why he won that silver jug at Butlin’s in 1985!”
She added: “He’s a great, great mechanic – but his singing is awful.
“He loves his punk music, he plays it a lot and I bloody hate it.
“Especially when he sings along to it.
“He’s just an old punk from Woking.
“There was one night when we went down to the harbour and he started singing and we all got thrown out.
“They said he was drunk, but he hadn’t even had his first pint!
“So now you know why I don’t let him sing in public anymore.”
Claire sometimes shares Chris’ karaoke disasters on TikTok, where users often agree he must be one of the country’s worst vocalists.
He now lives in Adeje, Tenerife.
But not everyone is against him.
