A deep sea fisherman has gone viral after sharing footage of a fascinating and unusual catch from the ocean depths.
Roman Fedortsov, a trawler fisherman based in Murmansk, Russia, is well known for showcasing rare and bizarre sea creatures discovered during his expeditions.
His latest video, which has gained over 97,000 views, features a peculiar marine animal that sparked curiosity and humor online.

The footage shows a soft-bodied deep-sea creature with a distinct appearance that quickly caught the attention of viewers.
While the internet often adds its own creative commentary to Roman’s finds, many were simply amazed by the strange and alien-like form of the animal.
Viewers eventually identified the creature as a giant barnacle, known scientifically as picoroco, which is native to the coastal waters of southern Peru, Chile, and Argentina.
This species is also featured in traditional Chilean cuisine.

Recently, he also went viral for showcasing a smooth lumpfish (Aptocyclus ventricosus), a bulbous deep-sea fish with small eyes and a wide mouth.

Due to the pressure changes from deep water to the surface, these creatures often appear swollen or distorted, adding to their unusual appearance.

In another post, Roman displayed a fish that sparked conversation due to its resemblance to a dog, specifically being compared by viewers to a Basset Hound because of its droopy features.
