A group of mystic meerkats have predicted that the Lionesses will beat the Netherlands after a shaky start to their Euros campaign.
Sarina Wiegman’s squad now have the backing of some football-mad mammals who believe England will set the record straight.
The meerkats have put Saturday’s misfire against France down to nerves, with the gang now backing the Lionesses to win.

The loss ended a streak of accurate predictions made by the mystic animals at Drusillas Park, Berwick, near Eastbourne, East Sussex.
In the footage, meerkat matriarch Tamu and her son Kane, named after England striker Harry Kane, wasted no time picking their winners.
The pair hopped into the bucket sporting Saint George’s Cross, backing the Lionesses all the way.
The mystic method sees the animals presented with two identical buckets, each sporting a different flag, filled with meerkat treats.
Whichever bucket gets the most interest is the winner, as reported by What’s The Jam.

England’s two-one defeat started a poor European Championship title defence after the women lifted the trophy back in 2022.
Skipper Leah Williamson will be leading the nation out against the Netherlands tonight (9 Jul).
The Lionesses will be hoping to get back to winning ways, with a lot of work to be done to get out of the group.

Jacinta Dawe, Zoo Section leader, stated: “Opening game jitters; even our meerkats can have a few nerves in front of the bucket.”
“They didn’t hesitate this time, it was straight to England’s flag.
“After getting things wrong last week, they clearly felt the need to redeem themselves.
“The Netherlands are a strong side, but the meerkats think England has the edge.”
“Their track record is really impressive – and I trust them.
“Tamu and Kane seem convinced, so let’s hope the Lionesses turn up in full force. Come on, England.”
