An urban explorer has discovered an abandoned film set that looks exactly like something from an apocalypse movie – but it was actually once home to a famous soap opera that has been running for 35 years.
And it is still on TV screens to this day.
Jamie Robinson often ventures to derelict locations, sharing them with his 262,000 followers.

Recently, the 25-year-old visited an old film set designed to resemble a the small fictional town called Carrigstown.
There are still houses, car parking spaces and even the popular convenience store, SPAR, on the street.
He travelled to the location with his friends, ack and Ben.
In a video online, which attracted over 97,000 views, people compared the set to be like something from the zombie game and TV show, ‘The Last Of Us’, and also the movie ’28 Days Later’.
Funnily enough, the set was not created for an apocalyptic world but rather an Irish soap opera called Fair City, which has been on the screens since 1989.

The show, that runs on RTÉ One, has 35 series and is the most-watched drama of its kind in Ireland.
“It was really interesting to see behind the scenes of a show that you see on TV,” Jamie, who is from Belfast, told What’s The Jam.
“It’s decayed now and it looks more like a zombie apocalypse set.

“It was really cool.”
Jamie heard from one of his followers that the filming location had been moved a while back from where it was at RTÉ, in Donnybrook, Dublin.
While exploring, he also came across a library and a GP surgery in Carrigstown.
Jamie’s followers also enjoyed getting a special look at the old soap set.
One person wrote: “Last Of Us vibes.”
Another said: “Let’s all move there and set up.”
“We should definitely market this to Americans as the UK’s Universal Studios,” added Teddy.
Roland commented: “Makes a great apocalypse movie set though.”
“Are you sure you ain’t walked into the set for 28 Years Later,” said Jayden.
