An urban explorer has shared his foray into an abandoned chapel, claiming to have found “cremated remains” left behind.
Dave, known online as Freaktography, claims that the woman who ran the small church had passed away – and since then, it has fallen into disrepair.
He also found the ashes of what he believes to be the former owner.
He shared footage of the church – the location of which he has chosen not to share – on YouTube with his 88,600 followers.

In the video, Dave can be seen walking through the old church, lined with red carpets, booths and beautiful stained glass windows.

He then goes to one end of the room, where the box of ashes can be seen on display, draped with a lace cloth.
The chapel appears to be set up ready for service, with a table laid with pictures, candles and rosary beads.
In an office, Dave finds some robes, as well as oils and holy water.

Exploring further, he makes his way to the back of the chapel, where he finds a bed behind an old organ.
The property appears to have been left completely untouched, with Dave stating that it hasn’t had a new owner since the former one died.
It is not clear when the property was abandoned, though eagle-eyed YouTube viewers spotted a 2012 calendar on the wall.

“It’s a very small, one-room church – they say she [the former owner] lived in the basement,” Dave, from Ontario, Canada, told What’s The Jam.
“There was a whole bunch of ornaments, organs, pianos, stuff and confessional booths.
“[There were also] vacuum cleaners, chairs, ukuleles – loads of stuff.”
One YouTube viewer commented: “Man that place is ready to hold service tomorrow.”
“Beautiful church. Looks like there might have been two people staying there. One upstairs and the other in the basement,” another user guessed.
Someone else added: “How sad for the lady. Nice old church Dave. I hope something gets done for it before it rots away. Still in decent condition.”
“This would make a really sweet wedding chapel. I hope someone will take care of it,” said another follower.
Another viewer commented: “So beautiful yet so sad.”
