A house on the market in Bradford for £100,000 has been likened to a ‘prison’ due to having bars on the window and door.
The home, on Hampden Place, appears relatively normal on the inside, with a bright lounge, kitchen-diner, and three bedrooms – one of which is currently used as a gym, while another has two double beds inside.
But outside, black bars covering the front door and lounge window have been ridiculed online.

The listing describes it as “well presented” and with a “good size” garden, reports What’s The Jam.
While no mention of the bars is made by the estate agent, social media users have shared their thoughts after the images were posted online.
One person commented: “You can tell it’s a safe neighbourhood as you have the option of imprisoning yourself in your own home.”
“The irony is those bars make the upstairs windows a lot more accessible,” another user pointed out.
Someone else said: “It might be overthinking this, but I’m always wondering what you’d do in case of a fire and you’re stuck in the room with bars.”

“Maybe they’re just preparing for the Purge?” joked another viewer.
Someone else quipped: “Nothing to make you feel safer than bars across windows.”
“Let’s not jump to conclusions- it’s very sensible to have bars on the ground floor otherwise visitors can get out too easily,” added another user.
