A baffled wife sniffed out her hubby’s cheeky pint secret after their dog flat out refused to walk past their local pub.
Amy Knowles cottoned on when her bulldog, Brian, started acting strangely and digging his heels in on walks.
The mum-of-two soon smelled a rat when husband Carl rang her asking to be picked up after Brian refused to budge.

Product quality director Amy said electrical engineer Carl eventually owned up after she filmed Brian stopping outside The Bulls Head in Kirklees, West Yorkshire.

“A couple of weeks ago, Carl started having problems with getting Brian to walk past the pub as he refused to walk home,” Amy told What’s The Jam.
“One evening he even had to call me to go pick them up in the car because he would not walk home.
“The next evening, I went with him to see what was happening on the walk.
“And sure enough, Brian started playing up as soon as we got the pub.

“I found out from Brian’s behaviour that my husband had been calling into the pub for a cheeky pint with Brian while out walking.
“Brian gets a bag of mini cheddars and loves all the attention he gets there.
“He is a real attention seeker.

“Brian acts like a doggy version of a Kardashian.
“The pub is a never ending supply of food and fuss for him which sums him up perfectly.”
Amy, 40, got Brian nine months ago.

She added: “He has brought so much joy to our family, causing constant mischief such as chewing all my shoes, jumping into the bath with me and never allowing anyone to have a shower without getting in.
“People say he is the most English bulldog they have ever seen.
“I have since videoed him going to the village pub and refusing to go home after.
“For his first birthday in January, we are taking him for his birthday bash at his local with all his favourite bar snacks.”
