Passengers were left fuming after two escaped dogs caused lengthy delays on a busy Tube line.

Commuters shared images of accumulating crowds during rush hour when a pair of black pooches jumped on the tracks.

The line’s power had to be turned off until the pesky animals were rescued.

Angry passengers had to wait around two hours for services to resume.

The animals were spotted jumping onto the tracks and walking between the La Raza and Potrero stations in Mexico City on Monday afternoon (2 September).

Metro CDMX first reported the suspension of services on their X account at 5.29pm.

A spokesperson said: “There is currently a power outage and action is being taken to rescue two dogs on the tracks of Line 3.

“Train services will return to normal shortly.”

At 7.05pm, Metro CDMX said: “Operations to rescue two dogs on the tracks of Line 3 continue so services are slow.

“Trains will soon return to normal circulation.”

After around two hours, personnel from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) managed to rescue the two canines, as reported by What’s The Jam.

It’s unclear if the authorities have been able to track down their owner yet.
