A moggy – called Buzz – is looking for a new home after living at a power station for ten years.
The OAP tabby cat had been a stray.
The 20-year-old puss – 96 in human years – was found almost blind and deaf.

He was also underweight and had matted fur.
Buzz was found at the Drax Power Station near Selby, North Yorks.

A worker had spotted him and started to feed him.
He has now been given treatment for his ailments and a make-over and RSPCA staff who took him in want to find someone to love him.
He is one of the oldest cats the animal charity has ever taken in.

The feline had an owner a decade ago and was microchipped.

An RSPCA spokesperson said: “Elderly Buzz was desperately weak and covered in matted fur when he was picked up at Drax Power Station near Selby last month.
“He was wounded and emaciated with limited vision and hearing and was also struggling to use his back legs.”

He was taken in at the RSPCA’s Goole and District Branch, as reported on What’s The Jam

Supporters raised £500 for his vet bills including blood tests, teeth extraction and medication.
Georgina Petty, from the branch, said: “Although his recovery hasn’t been entirely smooth, Buzz’s resilience and refusal to give up on life has been truly astonishing.
“His vision, although imperfect, has improved, he’s gained significant weight, his fur is regrowing and his wounds are healing beautifully.
“He’s had several teeth removed, wounds stitched up and is receiving ongoing care for arthritis.

“But having experienced hardship and been deprived of human affection for so long he truly deserves to find a wonderful loving home for the remainder of his years.”
He was registered at another rescue centre as a young cat in 2005 and then adopted.
He was then rehomed about a decade ago but the details on his microchip were never updated and he had been fed by a worker at the biomass power station since.
