A panda was spotted playing with a mobile phone that was dropped into its enclosure by a clumsy tourist.
A zookeeper tried to distract the furry animal with food, but it still refused to let go of the phone.
It simply scoffed down the carrot with one hand while tightly clutching the device with the other.

Workers then tried to grip the phone with an extended grabber to snatch it away from the panda.
But the bear rolled on its side to keep the device away from the grab tool.
The cute scenes were filmed at the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Centre in Dujiangyan City, China, yesterday (22 Feb).
Eventually, the animal finished playing with the tourist’s phone and left it on the ground for a zookeeper to pick up with the extended tongs.
Images of the cute panda went viral on the Chinese social network Douyin, as reported by What’s The Jam.

One local said: “That phone needs to be framed and displayed as it was touched by a panda, which is practically equivalent to touching a panda yourself!”

“This guy’s a phone addict too,” another person said.
“Oh no, even pandas have learned to use mobile phones now,” remarked a third viewer.
