A cat with a permanent ‘toothy grin’ has found her forever home after being put up for adoption twice.

Vali’s troubles first began after her owner sadly died when she was 10 years old.

The cute black-and-white moggy was brought to the Cat Community Club, which assists in overpopulation of felines.

The rescue centre had hoped to find her a new home quickly but it would be many months of waiting for Vali.

Despite the circumstances, her toothy grin never faded.

“She is a companion cat, she just wants to be near you, purring and getting pets,” said a spokesperson for the Cat Community Club, which is located in the New Jersey borough of Bellmawr, separated from Philadelphia by the Delaware River.

“She loves to follow her people around and smile with that toothy little grin.

“She is seriously the coolest cat.

“She has the loudest purr you’ll ever hear and loves a good cuddle session.”

Eventually, after a year and a half, Vali was adopted by a family.

Sadly, she found herself back at the rescue centre just two months later.

The spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, her new home just wasn’t the one for her.

“Her family tried to make it work but it seems that Vali would very much prefer to be in a home with no other animals.”

The feline found comfort in her carers while patiently waiting for another owner to adopt her.

A few months later, someone expressed interest but unfortunately, a similar situation unfolded.

The centre said: “She was returned to us because her adopter was unable to keep her in their current living situation.

“She has been through a lot over the last few years.

“Despite all she’s been through, Vali is still the sweetest girl.

“She is constantly giving us her very best smile in hopes it’ll win someone over and they’ll adopt her.”

Proving that third time is indeed the charm, Vali has at last found her forever home, two and a half years since she first arrived at the centre.

Her new owners said she is a perfect fit for their family home and has already settled right in.

The 12-year-old feline is often seen sitting on the window sill in the living room, staring out onto the street through the glass, as reported by What’s the Jam.

She also likes to lounge on the sofa with her new family, “purring up a storm”.

Community Cat Club said: “She is already making herself at home.

“We’re so happy for this girl and her new parents.”
