A spiritual cat who can apparently predict the future has become a social media sensation after astonishing his owner with his spookily accurate tarot card readings.

Cole, the seven-year-old rescue, was once a sickly kitten abandoned at a shelter and labelled a “tripping hazard”.

But after being adopted, he transformed into a cuddly companion and now an unlikely fortune teller.

His owner, Emily Cook, first noticed his mystical streak a few years ago, when Cole began pawing and biting at a deck of tarot cards left on the sofa.

Instead of tearing them up like a typical pet, the feline appeared to carefully select cards – and soon his ‘readings’ started to come eerily true.

“I had a deck of cards that are now his in the cup holder of my couch,” Emily told What’s The Jam.

“He just started ‘shuffling’ like a litter box toss and picked one with his little cat teeth and laid it on the carpet. I reinforced this with treats.

“I was like, ‘Holy sh*t, he’s not just doing it, he’s accurate!’”

From predicting job troubles to highlighting moments of change, the black cat’s accuracy has stunned thousands of online followers.

Fans now flock to see his latest pulls, with Emily, 46, sharing his feline forecasts on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

Cole’s fame is still growing, but his mysterious rituals have already earned him a waiting list of people eager to receive a reading.

Emily, from Washington, US, said: “He hops up on the couch armrest, then I just kinda feel when he’s about to pull, and I try to capture a video with my phone in time before he starts shuffling (tossing) the cards, and picking one or a few with his teeth.

“I was targeted at work, and a card pulled suggested betrayal.

“A few months later, I lost my job, and the person I had concerns about is no longer with the company.”

The mum-of-one runs a dedicated website where donations and requests are gathered.

But ultimately, it’s down to Cole when he decides to step in and shuffle the cards.

And the cat is fast becoming the internet’s favourite psychic pet.

Emily, who works as a business development director and singer, said: “Our TikTok account is growing, but it’s not on fire yet.

“YouTube has barely any subscribers yet; we just started posting there.

“Our main goal is to make sure the donor sees their reading.

“I just try to capture his readings in time.

“MyCatDoesTarot has his waitlist donation link.

“From there, I get an email and add it to his waitlist. I keep notes in my phone, and I’ll post them in stories every so often to let people know they’re in his queue.

“But Cole decides when to give his readings – he’s a cat!”
