A cat owner was left stunned when her missing cat turned up after 13 years.
Jade Yhnell hand-reared Minx the moggy from birth.
But the feline went missing at age five when Jade moved house.

Incredibly, after over a decade, the pair were reunited.
Minx was handed into a veterinary clinic, and staff managed to trace Jade from Minx’s microchip.
The overjoyed owner raced to pick her up and found that her pet still recognised her.
Sadly, Minx died shortly after from cancer, but not before spending a heart-warming month with her loving family.
Jade has no idea how Minx, who went missing in Bristol, ended up in Fishguard, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

“Minx went missing when we moved from Bristol to Tredegar,” Jade told What’s The Jam.

“She is a very friendly cat, so maybe someone took a shine to her.
“She was five years old and we’d had her from a kitten.

“We searched for her, but she was gone.
“We never heard anything.”
One day, Jade got a call from a vet in Fishguard, which she initially thought was telemarketing.
Luckily, she took the call and Fishguard Vets told her that they had Minx.
Jade added: “I was overwhelmed.
“They asked if my cat was missing, and I said no.
“Then they said they had Minx, who was registered to me.
“I was in shock – it had been 13 years.

“She had been found on a lane in Fishguard and was in a state.
“The next morning, I made the two-hour drive to get her, and it was a very emotional reunion.
“She was always very vocal, but she was headbutting and purring loudly – she still remembered.
“I took her home and gave her a bath.
“She was very emaciated and flea ridden.
“But we looked after her.
“She even remembered a trick we used to do with her of standing on her hind legs and putting her front paws together for a treat.

“She slept on my daughter’s bed, and she adored her.
“But then I found she had tongue cancer when she went for a check-up up and we were advised the best thing was to put her to sleep to stop her suffering.
“Although it was heartbreaking, we had a lovely four weeks with her.
“It was as if she had come home at the end to be with her family.
“She was over 18, which is a good age for a cat.
“She was purring right to the last.
“I have nothing but gratitude that we had her back.
“I feel she came back to us for a reason, so that we could look after he in her final days.
“She knew how loved she was.”
