A cat stowaway was found meowing under the bonnet of a senator’s car.
Frank Farry, 52, was driving through his hometown when he heard “an animal crying.”
He pulled over to take a look and spotted a “naughty” kitty in the engine compartment.
Farry, a Republican senator for the 6th District in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, US, called for an animal control officer.
The animal handler arrived at Farry’s location in Middletown Township to deal with the feline intruder.
Animal Control Officer Keen was able to “coax out the kitty” without too much trouble, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The police said the naughty moggy “was completely uninjured” during the rescue.
ACO Keen then took the cat to the Women’s Animal Center in Bensalem for health checks.
The police called on anyone who recognises the cat to contact the animal shelter before it goes up for adoption.
The police said the story had a “purrrrfect ending”.
One local joked: “I heard of CATalytic converters before, I didn’t know they use actual cats!”
Shannon added: “So the engine was purring?”
Donna remarked: “Great story! Such a cute kitty.”
Tiffany said: “Senator Frank should have adopted him, Kitty found him for a reason.”
Amy added: “Eight lives to go, that’s one lucky kitty.”
