A family of seven geese were saved after quick-thinking pedestrians helped them across a busy, city centre road.
The mummy and daddy, and five goslings were spotted in the carriageway.
A silver Peugeot 208 was edging towards them when an eagle-eyed man in a red Manchester United shirt spotted them.

He walked in front of the car to warn the driver.
Two women crossing the road then ushered the birds to safety.
Members of the public then gave a round of applause.
A 10-second video – filmed by an onlooker – ended with the geese waddling towards a nearby canal, as reported by What’s The Jam.
It was filmed on Deansgate, near the Rochdale Canal, central Manchester, yesterday (11 May).
Locals were full of praise for the trio’s actions, in particular the man.
One said, “Get that man a beer.”
Another said: “Beaut, one and all.”
While another just added: ‘Hero’.
And another said: “Thank you, well done.”
Deansgate is a main road through Manchester city centre.
It runs roughly north–south in a near straight route through the western part of the city centre and is the longest road in the city centre at over one mile in length.
