A job advert looking for a cat sitter has gone viral thanks to its impressive salary – and rather odd list of duties.
A Londoner is looking for someone to look after their pet, to the tune of between £45-£65 per hour.
The UK’s national minimum wage for over 21s is £12.21 an hour – making this up to more than five times more.

Based in Covent Garden, they are seeking a “responsible and experienced private cat sitter” to care for a British shorthair cat in their office.
The role involves “consistent, attentive care” for a “well-tempered” moggy, ensuring her daily routine is “maintained to the highest standard”.

For the pampered pet this includes standard fare such as a fixed schedule of fresh milk and food twice a day, daily grooming and coat inspections, playing with the cat and keeping its feeding area and litter box clean.
But there are also some rather quirky additions, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Every Friday, the sitter will be expected to play classical music in the office “for the cat’s relaxation”.

On top of that, they will be expected to visit Harrods monthly to purchase new toys for the cat.
The ad has gone viral on TikTok after a user, Felicity, shared it, calling it the “funniest” job advert she has ever seen.
She said: “For £65 an hour you can basically play the piano to a cat and go shopping.

“This cat has a better life than most people.”
The post racked up more than 500,000 views, with one person commenting: “Need this job immediately.”
“They’re rich enough for their cat to have its own butler,” another user said.

Someone else added: “Where do I apply?”
“Full time would be £135k a year!!!” said another shocked viewer.
Another joked: “I think the cat put up the ad.”
The listing appears to be written on behalf of the cat owner’s employer, named only as a “modern platform at the forefront of private aviation”.
The listing says: “They [our client] value precision, care and high standards in everything they do – including the wellbeing of those closest to their team.”
The ad is seeking either one full-time or two part-time candidates, who will need to be available in the mornings and evenings.
In exchange, they’ll get a hefty salary – which is dependent on experience – plus free parking in the central London office, and a “low-stress, peaceful role in a welcoming environment”.
