“My son lost one of his best friends so he has an ornament.”
Despite a few critics, Cassie says most people are supportive.

“And children love it too.
“So many people look in and smile.
“For me that sends a tingle inside and you feel happy that you’ve made someone smile as they walk by.”
But Cassie’s family still celebrates Halloween.
She added: “We do all the pumpkins, we’re just surrounded by Christmas at the same time.
“If I could I would probably have it up all the time, when you have the tree lights on while watching a film, I could do that all the time.”
Locals have been full of praise.

“Some hotels have got their decorations up for Turkey and Tinsel breaks.
“I keep some musical carousels on display all year round.”

“I love it.”
Not everyone is impressed, though.

Another added: “Yes, it is way too early for that sort of nonsense.”
