McDonald’s fans are rushing to try a clever “secret menu” hack that could land them more food for less money.
The tip, shared by a money-saving expert on social media, reveals how to get an extra Chicken Select – and saving 51p in the process.
Instead of ordering the standard three-piece Chicken Selects, typically priced at around £5.49, savvy diners are switching things up.

The trick involves ordering two “Wrap of the Day” items, usually £2.49 each, and customising them.
By removing everything except the chicken – including the wrap, lettuce and sauces – customers are left with just the chicken pieces inside.
As each wrap contains two pieces of the same chicken used in Selects, the hack delivers four pieces of chicken for £4.98.
The tip was shared by Jordon Cox, known online as Britain’s Coupon King.
The workaround has quickly gained traction online, with fans praising the simple money-saving move.

However, not everyone is convinced it will last.
One user warned: “They’ll be closing up this loophole as we speak.”
Others pointed out that the deal could be even better if you just eat the wraps as they come, rather than stripping them back.
Still, for those who prefer just the chicken, the hack offers a cheaper way to get more for your money.
The tip comes as McDonald’s prepares to roll out a new UK menu from 27 April.
Additions include spicy twists on breakfast favourites, new Sprite Zero flavours, and the return of fan-favourites like the Big Tasty and Biscoff McFlurry.
